Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - there were two ravens on the branch, but they flew off as I tried to sneak up on them, so just imagine them there for the full stark, windswept effect.

there are these roots that bring me
back to home

a seed does not ask
to leaf
blossom
grieve nor shed

nor to grow alone

the frost wakes memories sleeping in white bones:
a winged seed glimmers on the wind,
paper notes whisper
of quiet growth brushed by rains
aching summer days
when all things were
possible

but a leaf falls
all the same

by being I've ceased to be

yet there are these roots
that bring me back to home
